Facebook: identifying themselves, we will have wi-fi in several brands

The social network has partnered with Cisco to equip business wi-fi. The connection is free for Facebook members who identify.

Facebook has partnered with Cisco, the giant California Internet networks to provide free wi-fi access in commercial areas to its members who identify themselves since their tablet, laptop or smartphone.
When the consumer connects the fitted ad hoc wi-fi equipment by Cisco area, they will be greeted by a welcoming Facebook page asking for authentication if a member of the social network. It will then be routed to a Facebook page with the sign where it is and receive a free wi-fi connection.
But this type of partnership also aims to allow traders partners in this operation to retrieve anonymized data on age, sex and the city of origin of visitors is well authenticated. This collection will return them to better target their promotional campaigns.
For Facebook, it is also to improve the visibility of commercial signs on its social network. This solution is tested in some sites of the American restaurant chain Bonefish Grill.
