Lenovo Yoga tablet: the tablet multimode

Lenovo announces its first tablet Yoga multimode. Proposed version 10 or 8 inches, it combines a large handle to fit the needs of the user.
Accompanied by his new product engineer, Ashton Kutcher , Lenovo unveiled its tablet Yoga multimode this morning. As laptops range, it is distinguished by the different uses that you can do by using a cylindrical handle incorporating a small stand. Three modes or positions are then available to the user:
  • "book" mode in order to facilitate its use in a hand
  • "handsfree" mode for elevating the upper part of the tablet on a flat surface to provide a better viewing angle
  • "bridge" mode to keep the tablet upright (the user can still adjust the angle of the tablet from 110 to 135 °)

Note that these two modes are complemented by a software function to store the most frequently used applications once engaged. If the concept is somewhat reminiscent of the first tablets from Sony, the handle of Yoga tablet is still more impressive. The manufacturer took the opportunity to incorporate, not one, but two batteries for a range well beyond the average since it was announced with 18 hours. Just that. It is also possible to use this energy to charge other devices such as smartphones with a USB OTG cable.

From a purely technical point of view, the Yoga tablet is more in the classic. Two models are offered, 10 and 8 inches, for a similar definition of 1280 x 800 pixels. Both will be based on a quad-core processor signed MediaTek MT8125 or MT8389 to run Android in its version 4.2 Jelly Bean.In addition, Yoga tablets were provided with an internal memory of 16 to 32 GB with a microSD slot for expanding the capacity of a 5 megapixel camera on the back, a webcam to before, the DS1 Dolby surround sound technology or even WiFi connectivity and 3G (optional).
The Yoga Tablet 8 "will be available from November in RueDuCommerce, priced at € 229. An optional case is available from € 39.90. The Yoga Tablet 10 "is meanwhile available from November at RueDuCommerce, Leclerc and Auchan Ticketmaster and at the price of 299 €. An optional Bluetooth keyboard will also be available from € 99.90, and its case from 39,90 €
