Xperia Z1S was seen on the official website of Sony

Earlier in the year, we heard of a new version of the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1s, which presents itself as the international version of Xperia Z1F. Xperia Z1F which, I remind you, was released in Asia is the "Mini" version of the Xperia Z1. Today, the Xperia Z1S made a brief appearance on the official Sony site (as you can see in the screenshot below) before being quickly removed.
This screenshot shows that not only the Xperia Z1S does exist, but it will also be available on the international market unlike Xperia Z1F. However, no further details have been advanced.

As a reminder, many rumors that this future smartphone embark the same technical characteristics as the Xperia Z1F, ie a 4.3-inch screen with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels against a Full HD 5-inch Xperia Z1. Otherwise, it uses the same specifications as the Xperia Z1, namely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and backed by a 2 GB RAM, the famous Digital Camera 20.7 MP. It should also be resistant to water and dust, while sporting the same design as its big brother.

For now, the Xperia Z1S has not yet made official by the Japanese giant, but after this leak, we can be sure that the device will be announced in the coming weeks, or in the following days. We will therefore be much more attached to the actual characteristics of this device.

Some tips to save energy on Android 4.4 KitKat

If you have recently had your Nexus 5, it is certain that you have not yet been able to turn all the features that are present on the version of Android 4.4 KitKat. Features that are certainly very interesting, but some have a direct impact on the battery life, which is why we offer the following tips to help you better manage this autonomy. It should be noted that these tips apply to all Smartphone or tablets that have Android 4.4 KitKat.
Using the battery meter KitKat
It is recommended that you first instead of using the battery bar that comes with Android 4.4, rather than downloading a third party application that can instead use more energy. The gauge makes it possible to give you detailed information about the battery usage information, applications that use the most battery power, and the time of use. To get there, you just have to click on the battery icon in the Quick Launch menu.

In some cases, your smartphone can not not get to go into a deep sleep because of some applications that are installed, or run in the background. You can remedy this by downloading an application that allows you to correct the problem as BetterBatteryStats. By cons, it is not yet functional on Android 4.4, and we expect an update for it.
The GPS
GPS is also a source of depletion of battery power when you use it constantly. However, Android has removed the ability to completely disable the version 4.4 KitKat. You can still use an energy saving mode if you're not a stickler for precision GPS. To do this, you must go to: Settings> Location> Fashion> and choose one of three options.

Disable automatic detection of voice on Google Now
This is probably a feature that is very interesting, but proves to be too energy intensive. So you can disable it by going to: Settings> Voice> hotword detection.

Disable NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
It is always important to disable the connections that you do not use it as Bluetooth, NFC or WiFi. If you want to disable them, you can just go to the Quick Launch menu, and tap the corresponding icon.
Do not synchronize unused accounts
Applications like Google Photo Sync or automatic synchronization of photos on Facebook are applications that need a lot of energy resource. If you want to have more autonomy, so you are asked to disable synchronization. You can also disable synchronization with mail accounts that you have little or no use.
Other quick tips
Finally, to maximize your battery life, you can also disable the LTE function when not in use, set the applications as DropBox to synchronize only WiFi, turn off the haptic feedback, and forget the widgets and Live Wallpaper.

Nexus 5 vs Nokia Lumia 1020: Comparison based on their camera

Today, a blogger compared the Nexus 5 with the Nokia Lumia 1020, the quality of photos taken by digital camera is not talking. Felix says he used the 16GB version of the Nexus 5, with all settings on auto and flash off on both mobiles. These automatic adjustments certainly promote the Nexus 5, 1020 as the Nokia Lumia can not enjoy the zoom or its Xenon flash. However, you can view the various sample images below the Nexus 5 is still far behind the Nokia Lumia 1020.
It does not really surprise me, because the Nexus 5 makes great pictures has an 8 MP sensor while the 1020 has a Lumia camera 41 megapixels. Even on paper, we see that the Nexus 5 can not compete with the Nokia Lumia 1020 regarding the camera part, but we still saw fit to share with you the images below so you can see the Nexus 5 is not completely ridiculous even in the face of a 41 MP camera.

The richness of the colors in daylight
Although the sun was not to go, you can still see the difference between the two smartphones when it comes to getting out the rich colors of the autumn tree.

As you can see, the Nokia brings an amazing wealth of color and light with much more detail unlike the Nexus 5.
Detail in daylight
Again, the sun is still not at the rendezvous, but the surrounding light is sufficient to tell us the details about the quality of photos that will be taken.

As you can see, the Nexus 5 has the advantage in this picture with its 8 MP sensor. By cons, it should be noted that if the PureView zoom was used, it would have been a different story.
Inside with good lighting
Here, it is to show the performance of the NPC these Smartphones inside a house with the active macro mode.

There is no real difference between these two photos. It is however noted that the Nexus has a 5 OIS image stabilizer which allows him to get out in front of the Nokia Lumia 1020.
The night with a decent ambient lighting
The Nokia Lumia 1020 tends to highlight the yellow color when it comes to take a picture at night. However, it is always impressive to see how the sensor Nokia manages to release more details at a capture 5MP facing Nexus 5 which offers a resolution of 8MP. In any case, we can say that the true colors that the human eye will be found between the two images.

The night with less bright lights
Again, the Nokia wins this round, because as you can see, the photos are taken with the camera are better quality with less noise.

In a not very well-lit area
Again, we can see that the photos taken by the Nokia tend to turn yellow when it is a dimly lit environment. For its part, those taken by the Nexus 5 tend to turn red. Anyway, the Nokia Lumia 1020 again won the race in terms of image quality and noise reduction.

In an environment with very little light
In a place where there is very little light, we can say that the stabilizer OIS Nexus 5 paid off, because as you can see, the image that comes out of the smartphone Google provides more vivid colors and more close to reality.

Conclusion
Finally, the quality of photos taken by the Nokia 1020 is more challenging, and everyone knows that this Smartphone is one of the best (if not the best) camera phones. In any case, as you have seen through the images above, the Google Nexus 5 shall also leaves a lot compared to the terminal, and the rendering of pictures is good, especially for people who want only take decent pictures with their smartphones.

Motorola Moto G: a camera under $ 200?

Since Motorola was acquired by Google, it has not seen a lot of smartphone firm enter the market. Attacking perhaps the mid-range will be more successful?
When Motorola was acquired by Google, it was much wondered what would happen to the firm. We know: Motorola was bought largely for its patent portfolio of great interest to develop a Google who was struggling to keep its manufacturers against Apple or Microsoft and their armies of lawyers with sharp teeth. And it was a real concern: arrived late on the phone market, Google could not patent the technologies required for its survival in the ruthless world of copyright. So, we had to improvise: Motorola was in free fall with many patents, Google was full of money and no brever the alliance is made without difficulty between the two firms.
That said, the hardware side, it is true that we were expecting a little more responsive. Already, it was thought that the giant Motorola to entrust quickly building a Nexus that has not been the case. The first real product out of this new alliance is the Moto X, a high-end smartphone with the particularity of being physically customizable before buying: nothing to revolutionize the market, but those looking for a single smartphone appreciate the opportunity. That said, it appears that the second unit is in the pipeline: the Moto G. Yesterday, this device was briefly listed on Amazon UK , priced at £ 160, which is about 200 euros.
What do we find in this mid-range device that should be announced on November 13? A quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8226 clocked at 1.2 GHz and supported an Adreno 305 graphics processor. They display the OS on a 4.5-inch screen HD 720p. There has much to counter Android 4.4 KitKat is the game, even if it is not mandatory, Google is rather inconsistent in its fleet management smartphones equipped with the latest versions of the operating system. The camera should be equipped with a sensor of 5 mpx, talking 8GB default storage and 3G connectivity. Confirmations should arrive soon.

NVIDIA Tegra Note 7: the first video surfaced grip

Since its announcement, the NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 was a little faded into oblivion. The tablet is now back in a short video demonstrating handling certain features related to its pen.
In September, NVIDIA created the surprise by announcing its first tablet , Tegra Note 7. Expected at an attractive price, it is an extension of the project KAI who in 2012 encouraged the manufacturers to offer efficient and inexpensive tablets, except that it has this year decided to go it alone providing hardware and software. Another major difference in 2013 obliges the Tegra 3 has given way to the famous Tegra 4 still very widespread.
NVIDIA Tegra Note
The latest processor from Nvidia is yet one of the most powerful on the market, if not the most powerful. For the record, based on quad-core Cortex-A15, as well as a companion core for light activities, all engraved in 28 nm. NVIDIA has still not content to provide support to the beast chip also treated as its software to exploit the pen "DirectStylus" that will come with the tablet. Add to that:
  • Android
  • A 7-inch IPS LCD HD (1280 x 800 pixels)
  • A 5 megapixel sensor on the rear and a front VGA sensor
  • 16 GB internal memory + microSD card reader
  • A microHDMI connector
  • 10h of playback of HD videos
This means that the Tegra Note 7 is expected. Unfortunately, no release schedule has been received since the announcement. However, it is possible to contemplate the tablet, and some of its features in the video grip that you will find below, carried out by our colleagues at Notebook Italia . Not to mention the promotional video Nvidia also available below. What do we wait until more information.

Motiif "M" Smart Trench: jacket that recharges your mobile

Analysts say the accessories that are connected will sell tens of millions over the next four years. It is also necessary that there is! Motiif presented his draft trench coat which also charges the connected smartphone: the "M".
A study by the British institute IMS Research revealed earlier this year that the market for products that are connected represent (perhaps) $ 6 billion in the year 2016. According to the American Juniper Research, it will sell 70 million of these products in 2017. Demand will be strong. Again we need a diverse range to respond. Motiif very young clothing brand online, seems to make its contribution to the building. Its first product, still in draft form, is called simply "M". There is a trench coat that has two advantages: it recharges the mobile and gives him a mobile connection.
Go into the details. The coat, made of cotton and fully waterproof technology contains two elements. First charger without hidden in the inside pocket wire. Simply place your compatible phone in and load automatically. The wireless charger is now iPhone compatible 4/4S/5/5S.
Second item: Karma. Karma is a 4G wireless modem router (similar to mobile platforms ZTE, Alcatel and Huawei), which relies on a payment system to use. With a range of 6 to 8 hours, it connects only to the mobile network and redistributes access to WiFi compatible devices nearby. We do not believe that this connection is included in the price of the trench coat. In its usual form, the Karma offers 1GB connection for $ 14, with a system of sharing bandwidth band win-win (you share your connection with another user Karma, you earn MB of additional connection for each user) . Motiif does not indicate whether a promotional offer is provided to buyers. It is almost surprising that there is one.
Note that Karma is a product that will work for the moment in the United States and no information was given about the concept of export Motiif internationally. But the "M" could be emulated in the coming months.
