Scientists have figured out how to disable hunger

Recently, scientists have discovered ways more creative ... to fight against the potentially deadly effects of obesity . They may have found a solution to stem the problem, we could just turn off a portion of our brains ...
The solution seems somewhat drastic and we can already point to various excesses and unfortunate consequences. However, we must recognize that this solution will stop the problem at its root, and especially for the time, it is only a study.
A team of scientists led by Joshua Jennings and Garret Stuber, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill genetically modified mice to a small group of their neurons (located in the BNST) are able to disable response to light. More importantly, these neurons send messages in the lateral hypothalamus, which is a part of the brain known to play a role in appetite ...
Using a laser, these neurons were stimulated and the subjects were then refused to eat, even when they were hungry. In contrast, they were able to cause the opposite effect in guinea pigs, a frenzy and bulimia until the stimulus back, whether or not full.
It is still only testing phase and only 20 minutes, the researchers hope to eventually make huge advances in the treatment of a variety of eating disorders.
